the farmhouse at beanacre farm

This historic 1850s farmhouse, initially a colonial Federal revival, sits at the highest point in the Greenfield Hill section of Fairfield, Connecticut. It has had just three owners since 1929. Among them, prominent attorney Robert Flack and his wife Elizabeth, who hosted parties for neighbors Leonard Bernstein, Richard Rogers, and Oscar Hammerstein. We like to imagine the champagne and ideas flowing when these great minds got together.

We are proud to call this 1850s relic our residence and make it available for filming and photoshoots. We have made every effort to respect the character of the house while installing modern conveniences. We shipped in a glass conservatory from England and built a professional kitchen to suit our interests.

Traditional yet contemporary, this luxurious place is unlike any other modern farmhouse. Our unique, octagonal room uses feng shui to give the house an easy flow for entertaining. The home is impeccably furnished and incredibly livable. You’ll notice artful touches everywhere, including elegant ironwork gating imported from France and other one-of-a-kind pieces from our travels around the world.

As with the other properties, the landscape changes with the seasons, lending another layer of beauty and sophistication to the outdoor architecture of the house.
