where to eat

Here is a list of our favorite restaurants.

Artisan

A true farm to table restaurant with a first rate chef. Elegant inside with a private room for 12 for special occasions. Lovely outdoor seating and drinking areas. Quiet because it’s off the street in the Delamar Hotel.

Paci

First rate American cuisine with an Italian bent. A converted train station in Southport with a very upscale atmosphere. Upstairs is quieter, the bar has a fun vibe and the outdoors is lovely in the summer but remember trains do go by.

The Sinclair

Very large menu. Serves brunch every day! A bit of a New Orleans touch to the menu…try the Jumbalaya.

Martel Bistro

Our go to restaurant for simple fare. Always good. Excellent lamb dip sandwich and frisée salad. A French bistro atmosphere.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria

Opened in 1925, it is one of the oldest and best known pizzerias in the U.S.

The Gray Goose

Great, simple food. Large menu with tons of appetizers/small plates. Fine pasta and don’t miss the burger.

The Little Goose

Sister restaurant to Grey Goose and much smaller. But still a fine, large menu. If you’re alone, there’s a comfortable bar to sit and eat.
